LIVINGSTON---District Attorney Scott M. Perrilloux reports that the following individuals appeared in court on August 31, 2009, before Judge Doug Hughes, and either pleaded guilty or no contest or were found guilty of driving while intoxicate and received the following sentences:
Brennan Picard, Denham Springs, LA, age 19 - Pleaded no contest to DWI (controlled dangerous substance) and was sentenced to serve six (6) months in parish jail. Jail sentence was suspended and the defendant was placed on active probation for one year with special conditions that the defendant complete 32 hours of community service work, complete a court-approved drivers improvement program and substance abuse program, attend a victims impact panel, and pay a fine of $500.00 plus court costs.
The following individuals appeared and either pleaded guilty or no contest or were found guilty of narcotic related offenses and received the following sentences:
Gary Jones, Livingston, LA, age 54 - Pleaded no contest to possession of Schedule I narcotics, resisting an officer, and possession of alcoholic beverage in motor vehicle and was sentenced to serve six (6) months in parish jail on the possession of Schedule I narcotics and five (5) days in parish jail on the offenses of resisting an officer and possession of alcoholic beverage in the motor vehicle with sentences to be served concurrently.
Samuel Madison, Livingston, LA, age 36 - Pleaded no contest to possession with intent to distribute Schedule II narcotics, possession of Schedule II narcotics, possession of Schedule I narcotics, resisting arrest, and aggravated assault and was sentenced to serve four (4) years in the Department of Corrections on the offenses of possession with intent to distribute Schedule II narcotics and possession of Schedule II narcotics; six (6) months in parish jail on the offense of possession of Schedule I narcotics; ten (10) days in parish jail on the offense of resisting arrest; and thirty (30) days in parish jail on the offense of aggravated assault with sentences to be served concurrently. Defendant to serve eighteen (18) months and balance of jail sentence to be suspended and the defendant placed on active probation and ordered to pay court costs.
Leah Seidman, Denham Springs, LA, age 52 - Pleaded no contest to distribution of Schedule II narcotics (2 counts) and was sentenced to serve two (2) years in the Department of Corrections on each count with sentences to be served concurrently.
Ronald Singleton, Pine Grove, LA, age 39 - Pleaded no contest to possession with intent to distribute Schedule II narcotics and was sentenced to serve two (2) years in the Department of Corrections.
The following individuals either appeared and either pleaded guilty or no contest or were found guilty of crimes against persons/property and received the following sentences:
Joshua Aydell, Livingston, LA, age 32 - Pleaded no contest to issuing worthless checks (2 counts), simple criminal damage to property, attempted battery on a police officer, and littering and was sentenced to serve one (1) year in the Department of Corrections on the offenses of issuing worthless checks; thirty (30) days in parish jail on the offenses of simple criminal damage to property and attempted battery on a police officer; and five (5) days in parish jail on the offense of littering with sentences to be served concurrently. Jail sentence was suspended and the defendant was placed on active probation for one year and ordered to pay court costs and make restitution.
Timoteo Javier Martinez Lopez, San Juan, TX, age 42 - Pleaded no contest to misapplication of funds (4 counts) and was sentenced to serve five (5) years in the Department of Corrections on each count with sentences to be served consecutively.
Jordan Solieau, Denham Springs, LA, age 24 - Pleaded no contest to forgery (6 counts) and was sentenced to serve three (3) years in the Department of Corrections. Jail sentence was suspended and the defendant was placed on active probation for three years and ordered to pay court costs and make restitution.
