LIVINGSTON---District Attorney Scott M. Perrilloux reports that the following individuals appeared in court on September 17, 2009, before Judge Ernest Drake, and either pleaded guilty or no contest or were found guilty of narcotic related offenses and received the following sentences:
Russell Beauchamp, Denham Springs, LA, age 36 - Convicted of distribution of cocaine was present in court for sentencing and was sentenced to serve thirty (30) years in the Department of Corrections with two (2) years to be served without benefits of probation, parole or suspension of sentence.
Christal Cooper, Denham Springs, LA, age 23 - Pleaded guilty to distribution of cocaine (2 counts) and was sentenced to serve thirty (30) years in the Department of Corrections. Defendant to serve two years without benefits and balance of jail sentence to be suspended.
Jeffery B. Jones, Jr., Denham Springs, LA, age 20 - Convicted of possession of Schedule II narcotics and possession of marijuana was present in court for sentencing and was sentenced to serve five (5) years in the Department of Corrections on the offense of possession of Schedule II narcotics and six (6) months in parish jail on the offense of possession of marijuana with sentences to be served concurrently. Jail sentence was suspended and the defendant was placed on active probation for five years and ordered to pay court costs.
Joseph Pierre, Springfield, LA, age 39 - Convicted of possession with intent to distribute Schedule II narcotics was present in court for sentencing and was sentenced to serve thirty (30) years in the Department of Corrections with two (2) years to be served without benefit of probation, parole or suspension of sentence.
