Perrilloux wins cyberstalking conviction in Amite

AMITE---District Attorney Scott M. Perrilloux reports that the following individuals appeared in court on September 22, 2009, before Judge Ray Chutz and either pleaded guilty or no contest or was found guilty of narcotic related offenses and received the following sentences:

Jimmell Pines, Hammond, LA, age 29 - Pleaded no contest to simple possession of marijuana and was sentenced to serve ninety (90) days in parish jail. Defendant given credit for time served and ordered to pay a fine of $500.00 plus court costs.

Jacob Puls, Independence, LA, age 29 - Pleaded guilty to production/manufacturing of Schedule II narcotics and was sentenced to serve twelve (12) years in the Department of Corrections.

The following individuals appeared and either pleaded guilty or no contest or were found guilty of crimes against persons/property and received the following sentences:

Chad Raborn, Amite, LA, age 22 - Pleaded no contest to cyberstalking. Imposition of sentence was deferred and the defendant was placed on active probation for two years and ordered to pay a fine of $1,000.00 plus court costs.
