LIVINGSTON---District Attorney Scott M. Perrilloux reports that the following individuals appeared in court on October 13, 2009, before Judge Ernest Drake, either pled guilty or no contest or were found guilty of driving while intoxicated related offenses and received the following sentences:

Mathis Anderson, Denham Springs, LA, age 23 - Pleaded guilty to DWI (controlled dangerous substance) and was sentenced to serve six (6) months in parish jail. Jail sentence was suspended and the defendant was placed on bench probation for two years with special conditions that the defendant complete 32 hours of community service work, complete a court-approved drivers improvement program and substance abuse program, attend a victims impact panel, and pay a fine of $300.00 plus court costs.

Ron Avants, Maurepas, LA, age 30 - Pleaded guilty to DWI (1^st offense) and was sentenced to serve six (6) months in parish jail. Jail sentence was suspended and the defendant was placed on bench probation for two years with special conditions that the defendant complete 32 hours of community service work, complete a court-approved drivers improvement program and substance abuse program, attend a victims impact panel, install interlock device on vehicle and pay a fine of $950.00 plus court costs.

Joseph Juhasz, Jr., Albany, LA, age 29 - Pleaded guilty to DWI (1^st offense) and was sentenced to serve six (6) months in parish jail.
