Perrilloux: Waguespack sentences cases in Amite

AMITE---District Attorney Scott M. Perrilloux reports that the following individuals appeared in court on October 26, 2009, before Judge Zorraine Waguespack, and either pleaded guilty or no contest or was found guilty of narcotic related offenses and received the following sentences:

Ricky Anthony, Tickfaw, LA, age 27 - Pleaded guilty to creation/operation of a clandestine lab and cruelty to a juvenile and was sentenced to serve five (5) years in the Department of Corrections on each count with sentences to be served concurrently.

The following individuals appeared in court and either pleaded guilty or no contest or were found guilty of crimes against persons/property and received the following sentences:

Latasha Andrews a/k/a Latasha Dyson, Independence, LA, age 31 - Pleaded guilty to issuing worthless checks (6 counts) and was sentenced to serve five (5) years in the Department of Corrections on four counts of issuing worthless checks; two (2) years in the Department of Corrections on one count of issuing worthless checks and six (6) months in parish jail on one count of issuing worthless checks with sentences to be served concurrently. Jail sentence was suspended and the defendant was placed on bench probation for two years and ordered to pay a fine of $350.00 plus court costs and make restitution.

Ashley White, Amite, LA, age 24 - Pleaded guilty to communication of false information of planned arson and was sentenced to serve five (5) years in the Department of Corrections. Jail sentence was suspended and the defendant was placed on active probation for three years and ordered to pay a fine of $1,500.00 plus court costs and complete anger management program.
