Perrilloux: Morrison sentences cases in Livingston

LIVINGSTON---District Attorney Scott M. Perrilloux reports that the following individuals appeared in court on October 29, 2009 before Judge Robert Morrison, and either pleaded guilty or no contest or were found guilty of narcotic related offenses and received the following sentences:

Gilbert Berrones, Denham Springs, LA, age 26 - Pleaded no contest to possession with intent to distribute Schedule I narcotics and was sentenced to serve five (5) years in the Department of Corrections. Jail sentence was suspended and the defendant was placed on active probation for five years and ordered to pay a fine of $750.00 plus court costs.

Jimmy Ray Crow, Jr., Denham Springs, LA, age 42 - Pleaded no contest to attempted production/manufacturing of Schedule II narcotics and was sentenced to serve seven (7) years at hard labor in the Department of Corrections.

Kendrick C. Jacobs, Hammond, LA, age 29 - Pleaded no contest to possession with intent to distribute Schedule II narcotics and was sentenced to serve two (2) years at hard labor in the Department of Corrections.

Michael L. Rogers, Jr., Denham Springs, LA, age 24 - Pleaded no contest to possession of a controlled dangerous substance by fraud and was sentenced to serve two (2) years at hard labor in the Department of Corrections.

The following individuals appeared and either pleaded guilty or no contest or were found guilty of crimes against persons/property and received the following sentences:

Richard Bardsley, Denham Springs, LA, age 53 - Pleaded no contest to domestic abuse battery (2 counts) and was sentenced to serve forty-two (42) days in parish jail on each count with sentences to be served concurrently.

Bradley J. James, Denham Springs, LA, age 23 - Pleaded no contest to forgery and was sentenced to serve six (6) months in parish jail. Jail sentence was suspended and the defendant was placed on bench probation for two years and ordered to pay court costs and make restitution.

Robert A. Schroeder, Denham Springs, LA, age 31 - Pleaded no contest to theft and was sentenced to serve six (6) months in parish jail.
