AMITE---District Attorney Scott M. Perrilloux reports that the following individuals appeared in court on November 2, 2009, before Judge Brenda Bedsole Ricks, and either pleaded guilty or no contest or were found guilty of driving while intoxicated and received the following sentences:

Kenneth Ballard, Kentwood, LA, age 45 - Pleaded no contest to DWI (1^st offense - 2 counts) and was sentenced to serve six (6) months in parish jail on each count with sentences to be serve concurrently. Jail sentence was suspended and the defendant was placed on bench probation for one year with special conditions that the defendant complete 32 hours of community service work, complete a court-approved drivers improvement program and substance abuse program, attend a victims impact panel, and pay a fines of $715.00 plus court costs and $615.00 plus court costs.
