Perrilloux: Ricks sentences Dangerfield to life in prison on second degree murder conviction
AMITE---District Attorney Scott M. Perrilloux reports that the following individuals appeared in court on November 3, 2009, before Judge Brenda Bedsole Ricks, and either pleaded guilty or no contest or was found guilty of narcotic related offenses and received the following sentences:
Corey McGregor, Hammond, LA, age 29 - Convicted of possession of Schedule II narcotics (2 counts), misdemeanor theft and child desertion was present in court for sentencing and was sentenced to serve one (1) year in the Department of Corrections on each count of possession of Schedule II narcotics and six (6) months in parish jail on the offenses of misdemeanor theft and child desertion with sentences to be served concurrently.
The following individuals appeared in court and either pleaded guilty or no contest or were found guilty of crimes against persons/property and received the following sentences:
Roderick Dangerfield, Hammond, LA, age 48 - Convicted of second degree murder was present in court for sentencing and was sentenced to serve life in the Department of Corrections.
