Perrilloux: Waguespack sentences DWI, drug cases in Livingston

LIVINGSTON---District Attorney Scott M. Perrilloux reports that the following individuals appeared in court on November 10, 2009 before Judge Zorraine Waguespack, and either pleaded guilty or no contest or were found guilty of driving while intoxicated and received the following sentences:

Daniel Crafton, Hammond, LA, age 36 - Pleaded guilty to DWI (1st offense) and was sentenced to serve six (6) months in parish jail. Jail sentence was suspended and the defendant was placed on bench probation for two years with special conditions that the defendant complete 32 hours of community service work, complete a court-approved drivers improvement program and substance abuse program, attend a victims impact panel, and pay fine and court costs of $614.50.

Amanda Crochet, Denham Springs, LA, age 22 - Pleaded guilty to DWI (1st offense) and was sentenced to serve six (6) months in parish jail. Jail sentence was suspended and the defendant was placed on bench probation for two years with special conditions that the defendant complete 32 hours of community service work, complete a court-approved drivers improvement program and substance abuse program, attend a victims impact panel, and pay fine and court costs of $714.50.

Jose S. Cruz, Hammond, LA, age 48 - Pleaded guilty to DWI (1st offense) and was sentenced to serve six (6) months in parish jail. Jail sentence was suspended and the defendant was placed on bench probation for two years with special conditions that the defendant complete 32 hours of community service work, complete a court-approved drivers improvement program and substance abuse program, attend a victims impact panel, and pay fine and court costs of $614.50.

Justin Durand, Denham Springs, LA, age 19 - Pleaded guilty to DWI (1st offense) and was sentenced to serve six (6) months in parish jail. Jail sentence was suspended and the defendant was placed on bench probation for two years with special conditions that the defendant complete 32 hours of community service work, complete a court-approved drivers improvement program and substance abuse program, attend a victims impact panel, and pay fine and court costs of $614.50.

Joseph Lessard, Walker, LA, age 18 - Pleaded guilty to DWI (1st offense) and was sentenced to serve six (6) months in parish jail. Jail sentence was suspended and the defendant was placed on bench probation for two years with special conditions that the defendant complete 32 hours of community service work, complete a court-approved drivers improvement program and substance abuse program, attend a victims impact panel, and pay fine and court costs of $614.50.

Jeffery Miller, McAll, LA, age 22 - Found guilty of DWI (1st offense), careless operation and no seatbelt and was sentenced to serve six (6) months in parish jail.

William Rodriquez, Walker, LA, age 39 - Pleaded guilty to DWI (1st offense) and was sentenced to serve six (6) months in parish jail. Jail sentence was suspended and the defendant was placed on bench probation for two years with special conditions that the defendant complete 32 hours of community service work, complete a court-approved drivers improvement program and substance abuse program, attend a victims impact panel, and pay fine and court costs of $614.50.

Glenda P. Swann, Denham Springs, LA, age 52 - Pleaded guilty to DWI (1st offense) and was sentenced to serve six (6) months in parish jail. Jail sentence was suspended and the defendant was placed on bench probation for two years with special conditions that the defendant complete 32 hours of community service work, complete a court-approved drivers improvement program and substance abuse program, attend a victims impact panel, and pay fine and court costs of $714.00.

Timothy Tate, Denham Springs, LA, age 27 - Pleaded guilty to DWI (controlled dangerous substance) and was sentenced to serve six (6) months in parish jail. Jail sentence was suspended and the defendant was placed on bench probation for two years with special conditions that the defendant complete 32 hours of community service work, complete a court-approved drivers improvement program and substance abuse program, attend a victims impact panel, and pay fine and court costs of $714.00.

Frank Ward, Baton Rouge, LA, age 38 - Pleaded guilty to DWI (controlled dangerous substance) and was sentenced to serve six (6) months in parish jail. Jail sentence was suspended and the defendant was placed on bench probation for two years with special conditions that the defendant complete 32 hours of community service work, complete a court-approved drivers improvement program and substance abuse program, attend a victims impact panel, and pay fine and court costs of $714.00.

The following individuals appeared and either pleaded guilty or no contest or were found guilty of narcotic related offenses and received the following sentences:

Brennen Angelle, age 27 - Pleaded guilty to possession of Schedule I narcotics and was sentenced to serve six (6) months in parish jail. Jail sentence was suspended and the defendant was placed on bench probation for two years and ordered to pay a fine of $250.00 plus court costs.

Nicole Brubaker, Layette, LA, age 19 - Pleaded guilty to possession of Schedule I narcotics and was sentenced to serve six (6) months in parish jail. Jail sentence was suspended and the defendant was placed on bench probation for two years and ordered to pay a fine of $250.00 plus court costs.

David Phillips, Baton Rouge, LA, age 32 - Pleaded guilty to possession of Schedule I narcotics and was sentenced to serve six (6) months in parish jail. Jail sentence was suspended and the defendant was placed on bench probation for two years and ordered to pay a fine of $250.00 plus court costs.

Lamarcus Pleasant, Denham Springs, LA, age 30 - Pleaded guilty to possession of Schedule I narcotics and was sentenced to serve six (6) months in parish jail with credit given for time served.

Sherrill Steedly, Denham Springs, LA, age 50 - Pleaded guilty to possession of Schedule I narcotics and was sentenced to serve six (6) months in parish jail. Jail sentence was suspended and the defendant was placed on bench probation for two years and ordered to pay a fine of $250.00 plus court costs.

Michael Yates, Denham Springs, LA, age 18 - Pleaded guilty to possession of Schedule I narcotics and was sentenced to serve six (6) months in parish jail with credit given for time served.
