Perrilloux: Morrison sentences DWI, drug cases in Livingston

LIVINGSTON---District Attorney Scott M. Perrilloux reports that the following individuals appeared in court on January 11, 2010, before Judge Robert Morrison, and either pleaded guilty or no contest or were found guilty of driving while intoxicated and received the following sentences:

Allen C. Martin, Hammond, LA, age 52 - Pleaded no contest to DWI (3rd offense) and was sentenced to serve one (1) year in the Department of Corrections.

The following individuals appeared in court and either pleaded guilty or no contest or were found guilty of narcotic related offenses and received the following sentences:

Anthony Davis, Denham Springs, LA, age 20 - Pleaded no contest to possession of Schedule I narcotics, possession of drug paraphanelia, simple criminal damage to property and accessory after the fact to second degree murder and was sentenced to serve three (3) years in the Department of Corrections on the offense of accessory after the fact to second degree murder, ninety (90) days in parish jail on the offenses of possession of Schedule I narcotics and simple criminal damage to property, and ten (10) days in parish jail on the offense of possession of drug paraphanelia with sentences to be served concurrently. Defendant given credit for time served and balance of jail sentence was suspended and the defendant was placed on active probation for three years and ordered to pay a fine of $350.00 plus court costs.

Carlos Davis, Denham Springs, LA, age 22 - Pleaded no contest to possession of Schedule I narcotics, battery on a police officer, simple criminal damage to property, and accessory after the fact to second degree murder and was sentenced to serve three (3) years in the Department of Corrections and ninety (90) days in parish jail on the offenses of battery on a police officer, simple criminal damage to property and possession of Schedule I narcotics with sentences to be served concurrently. Defendant given credit for time served and balance of jail sentence was suspended and the defendant was placed on active probation for three years and ordered to pay a fine of $350.00 plus court costs.

Kevin Allen Hummell, Tallahassee, FL, age 25 - Pleaded no contest to possession of marijuana. Imposition of sentence was deferred and the defendant was placed on bench probation for one year and ordered to pay a fine of $500.00 plus court costs.
