AMITE---District Attorney Scott M. Perrilloux reports that the following individuals appeared in court on January 7, 2010, before Judge Robert Morrison, and either pleaded guilty or no contest or was found guilty of driving while intoxicated and received the following sentences:
Julian Alexander, Natalbany, LA, age 20 - Pleaded no contest to DWI (1st offense) and was sentenced to serve ninety (90) days in parish jail. Jail sentence was suspended and the defendant was placed on active probation for one year with special conditions that the defendant complete 32 hours of community service work, complete a court-approved drivers improvement program and substance abuse program, attend a victims impact panel, and pay fine and court costs of $705.50.
The following individuals appeared in court and either pleaded guilty or no contest or were found guilty of crimes against persons/property and received the following sentences:
Paul Brown, Jr., Ponchatoula, LA, age 27 - Pleaded guilty to hunting deer in closed season. Imposition of sentence was deferred and the defendant was ordered to pay a fine of $500.00 plus court costs.
Ashley Taylor, Kentwood, LA, age 23 - Pleaded no contest to careless operation and was sentenced to serve sixty (60) days in parish jail and credit given for time served.
