AMITE---District Attorney Scott M. Perrilloux reports that the following individuals appeared in court on January 11, 2010, before Judge Ray Chutz, and either pleaded guilty or no contest or was found guilty of crimes against persons/property and received the following sentences:
Carl Chester, Amite, LA, age 19 - Pleaded guilty to attempted second degree murder, aggravated burglary and simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling (2 counts) and was sentenced to serve twenty-five (25) years in the Department of Corrections on the offense of attempted second degree murder and aggravated burglary and twelve (12) years in the Department of Corrections on the offenses of simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling with sentences to be served concurrently and to be served at hard labor and without benefits.
Jason Desouge, Holden, LA, age 51 - Pleaded guilty to theft and was sentenced to serve six (6) months in parish jail. Jail sentence was suspended and the defendant was placed on bench probation for two years and ordered to pay court costs and make restitution.
Clara B. Donnett, Kentwood, LA, age 57 - Pleaded guilty to issuing worthless checks (6 counts) and was sentenced to serve six (6) months in parish jail. Jail sentence was suspended and the defendant was placed on bench probation for two years and ordered to pay court costs and make restitution.
Brittanee Jastrzebski, Hammond, LA, age 20 - Pleaded guilty to theft by fraud and contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile and was sentenced to serve three (3)years in the Department of Corrections. Defendant was given credit for time served and balance of jail sentence was suspended and the defendant was placed on active probation for three years and ordered to pay a fine of $500.00 plus court costs and make restitution.
Kelly Ledbetter, Hammond, LA, age 42 - Pleaded guilty to theft and was sentenced to serve ten (10) years in the Department of Corrections. Jail sentence was suspended and the defendant was placed on active probation for five years and ordered to pay a fine of $1,000.00 plus court costs and make restitution.
Michael Stutes, Baton Rouge, LA, age 34 - Pleaded guilty to cyberstalking and was sentenced to serve six (6) months in parish jail. Jail sentence was suspended and the defendant was placed on active probation for two years and ordered to pay a fine of $2,000.00 plus court costs.
