Perrilloux: Ricks sentences cases in Livingston

LIVINGSTON---District Attorney Scott M. Perrilloux reports that the following individuals appeared in court on January 7, 2010, before Judge Brenda Bedsole Ricks, and either pleaded guilty or no contest or were found guilty of narcotic related offenses and received the following sentences:

Edward Bagley, Denham Springs, LA, age 33 - Pleaded no contest to possession of Schedule II narcotics and was sentenced to serve two (2) years in the Department of Corrections. Jail sentence was suspended and the defendant was placed on active probation for two years and ordered to pay a fine of $1,200.00 plus court costs and pay $100.00 DARE fee.

Mandi Bergeron, Denham Springs, LA, age 27 - Pleaded no contest to possession of Schedule IV narcotics and hit and run driving and was sentenced to serve two (2) years in the Department of Corrections on the offense of possession of Schedule IV narcotics and six (6) months in parish jail on the offense of hit and run driving with sentences to be served concurrently. Imposition of sentence was deferred and the defendant was placed on active probation for two years and ordered to pay a fine of $1,200.00 plus court costs and make restitution.

Nicholas Dimm, Denham Springs, LA, age 20 - Pleaded no contest to possession of drug paraphanelia (2 counts) and was sentenced to serve six (6) months in parish jail. Jail sentence was suspended and the defendant was placed on bench probation for one year and ordered to pay a fine of $250.00 plus court costs and pay $100.00 DARE fee.

Nathaniel Kinchen, Denham Springs, LA, age 26 - Pleaded guilty to possession of Schedule II narcotics and was sentenced to serve two (2) years in the Department of Corrections. Jail sentence was suspended and the defendant was placed on active probation for two years and ordered to pay a fine of $1,200.00 plus court costs and pay $100.00 DARE fee.

James Nettles, Walker, LA, age 30 - Pleaded guilty to possession of Schedule I narcotics and was sentenced to serve six (6) months in parish jail. Jail sentence was suspended and the defendant was placed on bench probation for one year and ordered to pay a fine of $100.00 plus court costs.

Andrew Rheams, Baton Rouge, LA, age 19 - Pleaded guilty to possession of Schedule II narcotics and possession of Schedule IV narcotics and was sentenced to serve two (2) years in the Department of Corrections. Jail sentence was suspended and the defendant was placed on active probation for two years and ordered to pay a fine of $1,200.00 plus court costs.

JoAnn Sanchez, Maurepas, LA, age 25 - Pleaded no contest to possession of Schedule II narcotics, creation/operation of a clandestine lab, and possession of Schedule IV narcotics and was sentenced to serve five (5) years in the Department of Corrections on the offense of creation/ operation of clandestine lab and three (3) years in the Department of Corrections on the offenses of possession of Schedule II narcotics and possession of Schedule IV narcotics with sentences to be served concurrently. Defendant to serve three years and balance of jail sentence to be suspended.

The following individuals appeared and either pleaded guilty or no contest or were found guilty of crimes against persons/property and received the following sentences:

Casey Cline, Denham Springs, LA, age 28 - Pleaded no contest to simple battery and was sentenced to serve six (6) months in parish jail. Jail sentence was suspended and the defendant was placed on bench probation for one year and ordered to pay court costs.

Matthew Comeaux, Denham Springs, LA, age 27 - Pleaded no contest to simple battery and was sentenced to serve six (6) months in parish jail. Jail sentence was suspended and the defendant was placed on bench probation for one year and ordered to pay a fine of $250.00 plus court costs.

Roscoe Foy, III, New Orleans, LA, age 34 - Pleaded no contest to aggravated incest and was sentenced to serve twenty-five (25) years in the Department of Corrections without benefits and register as a sex offender.

William Jones, Denham Springs, LA, age 18 - Pleaded guilty to auto burglary (6 counts) and was sentenced to serve three (3) years in the Department of Corrections. Imposition of sentence was deferred and the defendant was placed on active probation for three years and ordered to pay a fine of $500.00 plus court costs.
