Reynolds Sentencing: Jeffrey Reynolds, age 34, of Walker, LA, pleaded no contest to attempted manslaughter and first degree feticide. He is sentenced to 20 years with the department of corrections.

Guidry Trial: Eugene Guidry, age 37, of Hammond, LA, was found guilty of second degree murder, obstruction of justice, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and possession of schedule II controlled dangerous substances.

Richardson Trial: Lionel Richardson, age 29, of Hammond, LA, was found guilty of second degree murder. Formal sentencing is scheduled for November 9, 2015.

The Twenty First Judicial District is made up of Livingston, Tangipahoa, and St. Helena parishes. It is one of the largest districts in the state of Louisiana with a current population of over 260,000.

Home to Southeastern Louisiana University, which is one of the fastest growing universities in the nation, and Livingston parish being one of the fastest growing parishes/counties in the nation, our district continues to develop.

Scott M. Perrilloux
21st Judicial District Attorney





Hammond native Scott Perrilloux is a graduate of Southeastern Louisiana University and Loyola University School of Law. Now serving his third term of office, Perrilloux has been District Attorney for the Twenty First Judicial District since his first election in 1996. Throughout this time, his office has consistently maintained a 90% or higher criminal conviction rate.


Before becoming District Attorney, Perrilloux already had an extensive legal career in the community. He has served as City Prosecutor for the City Court of Hammond, Assistant City Attorney for the City of Hammond, Assistant District Attorney of the Twenty First Judicial District, and Judge Pro Tempore for the City Court of Hammond.


Perrilloux is a member of the National District Attorneys Association and the Louisiana District Attorneys Association. He has been a member of the Louisiana District Attorneys Association’s Board of Directors, serving as President for the 2005-2006 term.
